The brief

A personalised product is only a business if production scales without people. Vincenzo Studio is the engine behind the Atelier: it takes an order from the store, maps the pet's face and markings, paints the portrait in the chosen role, waits for the customer's approval, then prepares the print file and tracking. I built it from scratch because nothing off the shelf did the whole job.

What made it hard
  1. 01Turning a messy phone photo into a consistent, flattering portrait every time
  2. 02A customer approval loop that is simple for them and traceable for me
  3. 03Keeping every order's state visible: waiting, approved, printing, shipped
  4. 04Running it from a laptop, in minutes a day
The signature: one order, every state

Watch an order move through the app. Nothing prints until the customer says yes.

The order and its states are the app’s real flow. Screens of the admin are private; shown on request.

What I built

  1. 01
    Order intake

Orders arrive from Shopify with the photo, the role and the customer. Nothing is re-typed.

  2. 02
    The portrait pipeline

Face and markings are mapped before painting so the pet is recognisably theirs. Each role has its own rules for costume, light and setting.

  3. 03
    Approval and revisions

The customer gets a private link, approves or asks for a change, and the state updates. Nothing prints without a yes.

  4. 04
    Print and tracking

Approved portraits become print-ready files with the right size and bleed; tracking flows back to the customer.

Where it stands

  • Production that doesn't need a designer per order
  • A clear state for every order, visible at a glance
  • The same patterns (intake, pipeline, approval, output) are what I build for clients who need more than a site: portals, builders, automations
